Christians who are paying close attention to the Bible, know that Lord and Savior Jesus Christ provided extensive details regarding "signs" other than the "strange" moon, stars, and sun that would manifest in the "Last Days" or "End Times" or a composite set of events that would precursor "Armegeddon" (Mark Chapter 13, Luke Chapter 21, Matthew Chapter 24, Revlation 11:18). And because these multiple "signs" have intesified to "plain as the nose your face" magnitude secular researchers, scholars, and investigative reporters, are examining and documenting the facts, events, or historical phenomenon (e.g. Four "Blood Moons" Scheduled For 2014 - 2015, 142 Major Earthquakes [2009- 2013]; 40 "Significantly Ongoing" Military or Armed Conflicts - CURRENT )
Although the Bible gives Christians a vivid,
and distinct prophetic guide regarding the Last Days, there are those
Christians who are distracted from the remarkable nature of what we are
observing first hand (Matthew 24: 37 - 39). These Christians are walking
around in a cloud that does not have anything to do with the
"Rapture." They are preoccupied with rehearsing that job
promotion testimony, planning their next weekend getaway or vacation, or
spending countless hours on "Facebook" or "Twitter." Of
course, the Bible does not condemn job promotions, quality family relaxation or
interaction with social media anymore than it prohibits eating, drinking or
marrying. However, Jesus Christ warned
against a perpetually distracted mindset lapsing into a ‘sedated’
state of spiritual mind while obstructing spiritual eyesight. This dangerous spiritual condition has resulted in failure (on the part of effected Christians) in noticing prophetic signs that secular observers are finding
“startling,” “amazing,” “frightening,” “epic”
“newsworthy” “eerie” or
“historical” [Luke 17: 26, 27; 21: 35, 36].
Therefore, whether or not “LinkedIn, using frequent flyer miles, or
wearing enlarged job titles, we have to be vigilant toward the Day of JEHOVAH
that is rushing toward us with the urgency assigned to it by the Holy
Scriptures. And the prophetic
earthquakes, wars, and "blood moons" of the Bible should reaffirm the life or
death importance of keeping a light suitcase packed for altogether different
destination located in Almighty God’s Eternal Plan [Revelation 21: 3 - 5]
“For it will come on all those who
live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you
may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to
stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:35-36 [NIV]
“For it will come upon all who dwell on the
face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times,
praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to
take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:35-36 [ESV]
